Apologetics for Youth and Young Adults
If the secular, scientific world and relativism are bombarding you with seemingly "bulletproof" concepts which erode the foundation of your beliefs, then we may be able to provide some guidance. Ministry led by Ulises Baltazar and Elizabeth Iliev.
Is it difficult to answer fundamental questions, such as:
Who am I? What am I doing here? Where am I going? What are my religious beliefs? Where do they come from? Is God real?
If so, we would like to share with you a way to make rational arguments with the help of science, philosophy, and historical facts in order to defend your faith. We want you to experience what we have experienced: the love, forgiveness, and redemption that God offers through His son Jesus Christ.
Apologetic arguments offer logical propositions with a realistic perspective that hopefully will give you a rational basis to at least question secular propaganda, and eventually provide a reason for your beliefs with confidence.
What is apologetics?
Briefly, it is the rational defense of any issue - in this case, the Christian faith - based on scientific, philosophical, and historical concepts. Apologetics will guide us when we face deep and transcendental questions. As you will learn, the word apologetics is derived from the Greek word apología (áπολογία), which means a verbal defense. It goes back to ancient Greece.
Throughout the centuries, apologetics has found strong bases in science, philosophy, history, and archaeology among many other disciplines. As we engage in this journey together, our prayer is that you can find the answers that you are seeking for.

By growing spiritually in Him, we draw closer to the truth of this reality one day at the time. As we have been changed through this journey and led by the Holy Spirit, we have felt compelled to share our experience with others and encourage them to form what we have called “BOB.”
A Band of Believers or "BOB" is a small group consisting of members of the same gender who can engage in conversation and discuss deep topics thus creating disciples of Christ one at a time. One of the main reasons for the lack of commitment to faith and a subsequent spiritual stalling is isolation. We are not meant to be alone.
By forming these BOBs (no larger than four members including the leader) new relationships will be forged. The objective is to begin communicating and discussing issues of faith, family, world, and ultimately, the deepest controversies within us. The discussions and openness evolve slowly and patiently with time, and are led by the Holy Spirit.
The only requirements are:
1. Complete confidentiality
2. Complete honesty
3. Complete commitment to attend a weekly meeting for eight weeks.
The meetings are held weekly for a minimum of one hour at the place of your choice. We recommend a location where you and your BOB can discuss issues with some degree of privacy. Eventually, we envision twice-a-year larger gatherings and workshops involving several BOBs.

“Band of Believers” - Including an eight-week small group guide with topics to discuss each week, as well as the overall vision for future goals.
“God the Scientist” - A seven-week study covering basic apologetic concepts for young adults and adults.
“The Unknown Road” - A deeper study of three existential questions from a scientific and philosophic perspectives. Available in the Fall of 2026

"A Different Spin on the Science and Faith Feud."
Talks and seminars about exploring this so-called "complex and conflicted" interaction. Where and how did it start? Is the feud real? We like to push the boundaries to find the answers.
Meaningful Ministries® began with a father's concern. After his eldest daughter left for college, Ulises Baltazar saw teenagers and young adults walking away from the church because it wasn't answering their questions about science, philosophy, and the world around them. A small-group challenge at his church brought him together with Chris Wisnieski and Demetrius Rouse. Out of that group, Meaningful Ministries® was born: a Texas nonprofit offering apologetics, Bible education. Every study guide, class, and seminar we create is for the glory of God and His kingdom.
